About Contact Charity Home James Cleveland Turner Mother Hoodie Cover designed by David Mckeown I am a 73-year-old retired former CIA officer. Until a couple of years ago all of my professional and private life writing had been in prose format. Then, for fun and the challenge, I decided to try my hand at producing short stories and essays in rhymed verse. I have since composed pieces in this format on politics, culture, society, and the adventures encountered in aging and marriage, often in a humorous context. My rhymes are perhaps best described as a collection of Dr Seuss-isms under the malign influence of Woody Allen. The piece below is an effort to get under the skin and into the mind of one of this U.S.’s most renowned serial killers and amateur taxidermists. He elaborates on his very close relationship with his mother and how she and he carry out their somewhat unique business dealings. The real-life legacy of these two spawned a number of Hollywood’s best and scariest horror movies, including “Psycho” and “The Silence of the Lambs”. A tribute to Ed Gein, serial killer and amateur taxidermist, whose exploits inspired many horror books and movies. Tony Perkins and Anthony Hopkins have his twisted evil to thank for the most memorable roles in their careers.
