Ann Brady The one thing ex-DI Tommy Doyle is good at is solving crime. He had left the police force three years previously, having been forced out by an over-ambitious sergeant trying to incriminate him in a crime. Being hauled before a disciplinary committee before finally being exonerated, Tommy had been left feeling disappointed and disillusioned. Four months after being cleared, he had retired—or resigned depending upon your point of view—and set himself up as a private investigator. But being a PI can sometimes be dangerous. Doyle, however, is an astute man, having learnt the hard way how to look after himself and his clients. The following stories are some of Tommy Doyle’s cases. There are more to follow. Ann Brady has been a factual writer for some 30 years, taking up fictional writing when she retired from business. During her career, she created and worked on an award-winning website and had work published in leading magazines, media, and in A-Level Educational Tutorial Booklets. Since retiring, Ann has been experimenting with historical fiction, mystery short stories and children’s picture books. Her current series of picture books, Little Friends: Woodland Adventures, is available in print, ebook and app formats. There are another two sets of books (6) due out shortly: Little Friends: In the Garden and Little Friends: Farmyard Fun. Ann also mentors younger writers, reviewing and editing their manuscripts through the Kids4Kids Organization.
